Gallery Imports owner, Justin Speer, is responsible for bringing this exclusive collection of woodcarvings and other handcrafts to the United States. The concept for Gallery Imports originated when Speer spent several months living and traveling in Central America. As he ventured from Mexico all the way to Panama, Speer was very impressed with the Mayan people's earthy and traditional way of life- and their beautiful crafts. Later trips to Peru, Chile, and Brazil solidified the desire to open an online art gallery offering a spectacular collection of international art.
